Weekday Devotionals - Samantha
Are you one of those people who walk outside and looks up? I sure am. Morning, noon, and especially night!
Last night I was just getting home, and a shine of light brought my eyes immediately to the heavens and there it was the biggest and brightest shooting star I've ever seen! I stood there in awe at the brilliance and majesty of it. Immediately thinking to myself, will I be looking up when Jesus arrives and see the brilliance and majesty firsthand?
God is moving all around us, in everything, but often we’ve got our heads down. To caught up in whats going on in the immediate instead of above us. Just trying to get through our days. We’re looking at our watch, thinking of the giant to do list we have and wondering, how will I ever get to it all?
That moment I had in my driveway looking toward the heavens and experiencing Gods beauty and wonder reminded me to keep my heart postured toward the heavens, poised with anticipation for His arrival.
Just in case THIS could be the day!
Is your heart fixed today to recognize the presence of God? What others may call a coincidence; you will know, could only be God?
Today pray this Psalm with me and ask the Lord to help you keep looking up:
My soul waits for the Lord more than the watchmen for the morning; indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. Psalm 130:6
